According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jesse Eisenberg is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming horror / comedy flick ZOMBIELAND alongside Woody Harrelson. We haven’t heard much from ZOMBIELAND since August, so it’s nice to see the flick is still in motion as the premise sounds golden.
As a refresher, ZOMBIELAND is about a mismatched pair of survivors find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies.
Eisenberg, who we last saw in the clutterf*ck known as CURSED, plays Flagstaff, a terrified shut-in whose cowardice makes him an expert at surviving the zombies but who is forced out of his shell to join the band of survivors.
If you remember right, Harrelson’s character’s name is Albuquerque, and now Eisenberg’s name is Flagstaff… I see a trend here. Next character who’s cast will be named Phoenix, there’s no doubt in my mind…
Anyway, ZOMBILAND is gearing up for production as we speak with Ruben Fleischer at the helm. The flick has potential to be totally awesome, let’s hope they can pull it off.
