One of the best horror-comedies of the past few years has been director Ruben Fleischer's ZOMBIELAND. Yes, today the original film's writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick chatted with Vulture and dropped the news that ZOMBIELAND 2 will be shooting soon for an October 2019 release.
Wernick:
Zombieland came out October of 2009. We don’t know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2.
He then added:
The hope is that we’re shooting that thing early 2019 for an October of ’19 release. With the original cast, by the way.
Woo-Hoo! Yeah, it seems like with the original film gathering more and more fans over the years – plus the fact that the film's screenwriters have since hit the mucho big-time with their DEADPOOL movies – we might finally be seeing the dead rise, and then get laughed, at yet again come Halloween 2019.
