With Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN hitting theaters on Friday, this may be a good omen as to how the film is going to play out, as Variety announced this morning that Zombie just signed a 2 picture deal with Dimension Films. That’s right, we have 2 more flicks promised to us from the writer/director, though what they’ll be at this point is still unknown.
The deal actually sounds pretty sweet, as he’s signed to both write and direct the 2 projects. They could both be horror, they could both be something else… but with Zombie on board, I’m sure it’ll be worth a watch.
Bob Weinstein is apparently thrilled about the deal, stating “We are excited about his fresh take on ‘Halloween’ and are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with him on future projects. We admire Rob for all the roles he plays, both as a director and writer.” Gotta love it when the execs start kissing your ass, don’t ya Rob?
It’d be funny as hell if Zombie decided he’d try a romantic comedy on for size, but then that just wouldn’t be him… so it’ll be exciting to wait and see just what tales of horror and violence Zombie will be tackling next… his vision of HALLOWEEN hits theaters everywhere Friday the 31st.
