Director Roland Emmerich has already frozen North America, wrecked Manhattan with a legendary radioactive lizard, and devastated global landmarks with flying saucers. With his latest, 10,000 BC, he ventures into the past for more stuff to destroy.

The slice of faux history follows a hunky young primitive man (Steven Strait) vying for the attention of a hot cavewoman (Camilla Belle) and hunting migrating CGI mammoth (witness the teaser trailer RIGHT HERE). Unfortunately there's no sign of Raquel Welch battling stop-motion beasts, but here's the new teaser poster instead.

Extra Tidbit: Speaking of the divine Raquel Welch, Emmerich is next planning to explode things on a microscopic level with his remake of FANTASTIC VOYAGE.

ok, heres the rub...is it just me, or is hollywood going crazy with remake after remake? of stuff that shouldnt even be considered for remaking in the first place? perhaps a good assignment might be to count the number of projects in the last year or so that are remakes, and have been greenlighted for being done, like this and fantastic voyage? i bet its higher than ever. on the other hand, hollywood has gotten sooooo good at these f/x films, that it is astounding how real this shit looks. FV could be truly cool with the cgi ability these days. i hate the remakes...but love the updated cg available to modernize cool older flicks. anyone else torn between 2 lovers?

I wonder if it will be as good as the awesome MAMMOTH with Tom Skeritt and Summer Glau.

While I am 'sorta' looking forward this movie, this looks like a poster for a museum.
