What you see ABOVE is a picture of Kristin Kreuk. Normally a picture of the SMALLVILLE star would only be a cataclysmic event, but because this is apparently the first image of Kreuk is the title character of STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI, it’s a universe-altering event, to be sure. Notice that Chun has abandoned her traditional dual-bun hairstyle and her blue frock with spike bracelets, and has instead gone for a more demure, peasant girl look. What do you guys think? The new STREET FIGHTER is currently filming.

To answer your question: I see Amerie as Chun-Li, the same you're seeing Kristen Kruek as Chun-Li... :)

we'll see how this plays out but I always wanted to watch street fighter from the perspective of Ryu or the young girl Sakura. I actually wrote a script once with her as the main character seeking this invincible fighter Ryu...years before Alpha actually dvd'd us

SHE STILL HAS THE BUNS! There's a set pic somewhere...

They seem to have given up on the blog. Perhaps they didn't get as many e-mail questions as they were hoping. It' a shame, i'm really interested in this movie..let's hope they succeed.

Some things should always stick to the pages of comic books and stay as a TV series or something. One of them is Dragonball. The other is Street Fighter. Yeah, I know, it's the age of comic adaptations and anything looks good on screen. Anything...IF they have the visual graphic power and f'n huge cashflow to back it up. Then yeah, things like this would look cool. She's a hottie for sure, but ...

Hope that she dons a more signature outfit at some point to let us know that she's actually Chun-Li in the film... Right now this could be a still from one of few episodes of Smallville. I'm looking forward go it... I think that directors are seeing that films like this have the chance of being done right like Batman and now Iron Man to name just a couple...at least I hope so!

I dont mind changes such as XMEN, but not radical changes such as Megatron looking like a squid....

I think this is acceptable, her facial feature is one of the closest feature to Chun Li, if you look hard and imagine (with the double bun ;)

I think going for the original costume will look silly in modern cinema, it's possible for them to go for the original blue but some mod needed; that way we can see her beautiful legs :x.

Is the same i think about Wolverine wearing yellow spandex and Megatron turning into a gun.

She's perfect to be Chun Li, in terms of looks, but it's the moves that counts, Chun Li is a great fighter, and i wonder how she can pull that off, all that fighting practice, not sure if that's enough..(stunt doubles maybe? dang..)
