The Dark Knight Our man with the trailer connection, Hargon, recently hit us with some knowledge on the whereabouts of the elusive DARK KNIGHT teaser (none of this fake bullshit). Warner Bros., it seems, is attaching that sumbitch to THE SIMPSONS MOVIE. Why? Not a goddamned clue. But if that's the case, it means that we'll be getting a taste of Bats' new Joker-filled adventure in just about two weeks (July 27th for the calendarily challenged). And who knows, we may even get it online even sooner! Because, let's face it, the internets is a living, breathing cybernetic organism with a killer rack that will not be denied. Can I get a boo yah? The Dark Knight hops on his gigantic-wheeled Batcycle and tussles with the Clown Prince of Crime on July 18th of next year.

Source: JoBlo.com

Extra Tidbit: Mallrat91 also recently alerted us to the fact that Batman-On-Film is reporting that there'll be a DTDVD anime film to bridge the gap between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT.

HERE YA GO FELLAS!
ATTACHED is Horton Hears a Who/Alvin and the Chipmunks combo trailer. There is a loose Mr. Mogorium's Wonder Emporium trailer. No Dark Knight to be found here people, let's move on.

Hmmm
Could happen I guess, but there won't be the Joker in it. Remember the 'see you in December' message on the site?

WHOA!
I manage a theater. It happens that attached trailers come from a different Distributor, it's rare, but it happens for the right $$$. And there are usually at least 2 attached trailers if not 3. So it's for sure possible. If I get my official trailer sheet before the 27th, I'll alert the Shmoes and Omar.

As a matter of fact...
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is more than likely the attached trailer on Simpsons. Poster was just released to theaters, and the timing would be perfect. There ya have it.

I really wouldn't count on either of these things holding much weight. I really can't see Warner Bros attaching something to a competitors film that would boost it's business any. That would make absolutely no sense at all. Omar's super-secret source is probably wrong on this one. I can't believe so many sites have picked this up. Direct to dvd movie...maybe... but even that seems a bit far fet...

I think this is legit
To everyone saying that a teaser trailer for a WB movie won't be attached to a 20th Century Fox movie, I believe last summer the teaser trailer for Transformers (Paramount release) was in front of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest (Disney).

So there.

however
NOTHING would make me happier than being wrong about these possibilities. The only thing that would make me happier would be the ability to jump forward in time to July 18th, 2008.

i agree with mmjay
I really have doubts that TDK would be purposefully attached to SIMPSONS prints especially since it's 2 different companies. I really believe that if WB had opted for a teaser to come out this summer, they would have attached it to HARRY POTTER. I think we're going to have to wait until fall. And Fox sucks ass. They wouldn't do anything cool. When was the last time Fox did anything you thought ...

As far as an animated in-betweener, forget that idea. Never happen. Anyone really remember ANIMATRIX? I didn't think so.

Ha ha. I cannot believe they are going the Van Helsing route for such a pontially great movie. Also, another reason to see the simpson for me.

anime prequel?
That's just lame to me.

[link]

They should make it like the batman animated series cartoon. Now that was a cartoon.
