D’Works & Disney?

DreamWorks

UPDATE – It was announced today that Disney and DreamWorks have formally entered into an agreement that would have Disney releasing six DreamWorks films a year (this excludes the DreamWorks animated films) starting in 2010. The films will be released under Disney’s Touchstone Pictures banner, which has seen it’s release slate drop drastically over the years as the studio has looked to focus on more family friendly fare.

It’s official, Steven Spielberg, Jeff Katzenberg and David Geffen’s production company DreamWorks SKG is a total slut. And a money grubbing slut, at that.

The hussy production company was first partnered with Paramount and now that Universal isn’t ponying up the 250 million they’re asking for, they are calling it quits with them too. What’s more, they’ve been single for mere hours and are already looking to get into bed with Disney.

A Universal spokesperson mentioned of the break, “Over the past several weeks, DreamWorks has demanded material changes to previously agreed-upon terms. It is clear that DreamWorks’ needs and Universal’s business interests are no longer in alignment. We wish them luck in their pursuit of funding and distribution of their future endeavors,, adding “and tell that fucker we’re keeping the ring!
