Prometheus continues on at Dark Horse Comics

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

According to both Bleeding Cool and THR, Dark Horse Comics is gearing up for a PROMETHEUS-themed comic book series. Dark Horse Entertainment publisher and founder Mike Richardson tells The Hollywood Reporter that "we're brewing something up that I think the fans of Ridley Scott's amazing film will really like," promising an official announcement soon. This could turn out to be pretty cool for fans of Scott's recent return to the sci-fi genre. I was a huge fan of PROMETHEUS and I'd love to see it thrive not only in the cinematic world, but in comic book form as well.

A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bleeding Cool teased that the Oregon-based publisher would be bringing characters and ideas from Ridley Scott's film into its ongoing Aliens comic book franchise, with an upcoming announcement at San Diego Comic-Con.

They have officially assigned an artist for the new project but the name has been kept tightly under wraps for now so expect an official announcement very soon — most likely during Comic-Con. It will be interesting to see where they take this thing but we'll obviously know a lot more on this once the Con rolls around so be sure to stick around!
