Full cast announced for that zombies on an island flick 13 Eerie

A few days ago I told you guys about a flick coming our way called 13 EERIE. I know you remember it because the thing sounded pretty solid. It was basically about zombies on an island. Can’t really go wrong with that, can you? Just look at the game DEAD ISLAND.

Unfortunately we don’t have a whole lot on this one just yet but what we do have is a full cast listing! According to 13 EERIE’s first press release the cast for this one will be made up of Katharine Isabelle, Michael Shanks, Brendan Fletcher (above), Nick Moran and Brendan Fehr. It looks like the previously mentioned possibility of Dustin Milligan joining the cast was not meant to be. Does that even really matter? Most of these names are unknowns anyway so let’s just roll with it! Here’s the rundown from the press release:

Six ambitious forensic undergrads are marooned on a remote island during a university field project. Unbeknownst to the group, the site was formerly used as an illegal biological testing ground for life-term criminals left for dead. But they aren¹t. They¹re undead.

It seems the previous report that Roger Christian was directing this gig was also a little premature as the official press release states that Lowell Dean will be making his directorial debut with 13 EERIE based on a script by Christian Piers Betley. Check out what producer Kevin Dewalt had to say regarding the film:

“While you may have seen a zombie movie before, you haven¹t seen zombies quite like this.”

Producer Don Carmody adds: “Audiences will want to avoid dimly lit pathways on their way home from the theatre after seeing 13 Eerie. This isn¹t your everyday reanimated corpse.”

So what do you guys think? 13 EERIE look like it have some potential or what? I’m definitely down for hearing more about this one, as I’m sure most of you feel the same way. Luckily for us this thing just started production earlier this week in Moose Jaw, Canada so we can expect a lot more updates soon.
