IFC Midnight to release Travis Zariwny's Intruder in June

Director Travis Zariwny's decision to remake Eli Roth's CABIN FEVER using the same script was an interesting experiment, but one I felt had an unfortunate result. While Roth turned the script into a film that was energetic and fun, I thought the remake was rather flat and dull.

Next month, we'll get to see the result of Zariwny working from an original screenplay he wrote himself when IFC Midnight releases his film INTRUDER onto On Demand and all digital platforms on June 24th. As of that date, the movie will also be playing on the big screen at the IFC Center in New York.

INTRUDER, which we first heard about back in 2013, stars Louise Linton, John Robinson, and Moby (yes, that Moby). The synopsis:

A young woman’s quiet night in becomes a free-fall into fear in this disturbing home invasion thriller. After she lands her dream job, a young cellist (Louise Linton) settles in for a relaxing few days holed up in her apartment—but as a violent storm rages outside, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her every move.

Linton played Deputy Winston in Zariwny's CABIN FEVER.

Zariwny, who got his start as a production designer, made his feature writing and directing debut with the 2013 sci-fi film SCAVENGERS.
