IT: Chapter Two & Rabid remake teaser posters revealed

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Two of the top horror flicks that I'm counting down the days until I can check out are director Andres Muschietti's upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's IT: CHAPTER TWO starring Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy and The Soska Sisters' remake of David Cronenberg's RABID starring Laura Vandervoort. And boy am I in luck as today we have not only the new teaser for IT: CHAPTER TWO but RABID as well!

What luck, amirite? Guess cool shite is going to be dropping left and right considering, you know, today's Halloween and all. Bring it on, I say! You can check out both teaser posters below and the then let us know what you think! Personally, as you might be able to imagine once you've seen both teaser posters yourself, I dig the one for RABID much more than the one for IT: CHAPTER TWO. I know one is truly a teaser poster and the other is basically the Blu-ray cover art, but still, just putting that out there.

Here's the semi-synopsis for IT: CHAPTER TWO:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, IT CHAPTER TWO brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

Bill Skarsgård returns in the seminal role of Pennywise along with McAvoy, Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer. IT CHAPTER TWO will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures on September 6, 2019.

Vandervoort stars in the new RABID as Rose, a character played by Marilyn Chambers in the original film.

Following a disfiguring accident, Rose receives an untested stem cell treatment that, while it restores her beauty, has dangerous consequences.

Scream Factory will be distributing RABID across multiple platforms in the United States. A71 Entertainment will be distributing RABID in Canada, with 101 Films distributing it in the United Kingdom. We'll let you know when the release dates are announced.
