Jennifer Lynch to helm theme park horror thriller Hellfest

The Walking Dead family is tight. Frequent Walking Dead director Jennifer Lynch (HISSS, SURVEILLANCE) will be teaming with producer Gale Anne Hurd once more on the feature film HELLFEST. Set at a horror theme park, the CBS Films project is also produced by Alex Ginno, Mark Ross, and Phillip Kobylanski.

Says CBS Films President Terry Press:

We have loved the concept of Hellfest since Gale brought it to us, and we have been waiting for exactly the right director. Jennifer came to us with both the passion and the vision necessary to make Hellfest a terrifying Halloween tradition much like the growing phenomenon of the theme park horror nights enjoyed by millions the world over.

Here's the synopsis:

The film is set on Halloween night at a horror theme park where a costumed killer begins slaying unsuspecting patrons who believe that it's all part of the show.

Production will commence this Winter.
