Back in December, we learned that Tombstone Distribution had acquired the U.S. rights to director Lauro Chartrand's BLACKBURN, a slasher film we first shared a teaser for in September of 2014. It's been a bit of a wait for this one, but now we finally know when American audiences will get the chance to watch it.

Tombstone will be releasing the hard R-rated slasher onto DVD August 2nd.

Written by Natasha Baron and starring Lochlyn Munro, Emilie Ullerup, Calum Worthy, Sarah Lind, Zack Peladeau, Alexander Calvert, Brandi Alexander, Maja Aro, Jacqueline and Joyce Roberts, "Twisted Twins" Jen and Sylvia Soska, former Jason Voorhees Ken Kirzinger (FREDDY VS. JASON), and former Michael Myers Brad Loree (HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION), BLACKBURN is

set in a small Alaskan ghost town with a horrifying history. A forest fire and rockslide have trapped five bickering college friends overnight. Seeking refuge inside the abandoned Blackburn Mine, they must try to band together as they are mysteriously slaughtered one by one.

This sounds like a fun one to me, so I will definitely be giving that DVD a spin in August.
