Maniac poster from South Korea shows us a very sad maniac

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Aw, poor maniac, all alone with his mannequins.

Here’s the South Korean poster for Franck Khalfoun’s MANIAC remake, depicting a morose Elijah Wood hanging out in his mannequin store with his “friends”.

Compare this one to the Japanese poster we saw a couple of weeks back, which presents a much more sinister Wood giving you the angry eye.

Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank (Elijah Wood) is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna (Nora Arnezeder) appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

In addition to Wood, MANIAC stars Nora Arnezeder, America Olivo, Sammi Rotibi and Megan Duffy. It hits theaters and VOD domestically on June 21st.
