New artwork for Steven C. Miller’s Under The Bed

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

One film that we’ve really been looking forward to checking out is Steven C. Miller’s UNDER THE BED, a scary-looking creature feature that plays on the childhood fears that many of us shared – the monster under the bed. Miller, whose previous works include the excellent AUTOMATON TRANSFUSION, the fun remake SILENT NIGHT and the badass THE AGGRESSION SCALE, has been said to deliver a visually striking and terrifying film with UNDER THE BED, and our own Chris Bumbray certainly enjoyed it when he got to check it out at Fantasia 2012 (read his take on the flick HERE).

Those wiley cats over at Ain’t It Cool Horror got their hands on the newest artwork for UNDER THE BED, which we’re sharing with you below. Though it is described as being the ‘official poster’, it looks more like the DVD artwork that distributor Xlrator may be using when they release the film on DVD and Blu-Ray in July. No matter, as it is creepily effective at conveying the sense of fear that I hope the film delivers. Check it out below.

Every child knows about the monster under the bed—Neal Hausman’s mistake was trying to fight it. Neal (Jonny Weston, Chasing Mavericks) has returned from a two-year exile following his tragic attempt to defeat the monster, only to find his father ticking ever closer to a breakdown, a new stepmother who fears him, and his little brother Paul (Gattlin Griffith, Green Lantern, Changeling), terrorized by the same monster. While Neal and Paul work together to try and fight the nocturnal menace, their parents are taking desperate measures to get the family back to normal. With no support from their parents, the brothers have nothing to rely on but each other, and courage beyond belief.

I just love the quote from Bumbray right at the top! Makes me more stoked about seeing this film.

UNDER THE BED hits DVD and Blu-Ray on July 30. You can pre-order the DVD HERE, or scoop up the Blu-Ray right HERE.
