Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Scream Factory continues to pull up forgotten gems and shine the Blu-ray spotlight on them as they have just announced a surprise title that will be hitting Blu-ray for the first time ever in the U.S. and Canada. Now joining their Collector’s Edition series is Jeff Lieberman’s 1976 SQUIRM which is expected to crawl onto shelves this October! While no exact release date has been given, they do mention that a street date and pre-order links will be up sometime next month, so be on the lookout for those.

No special features have been announced at this time but expect to see those along with the cover art in the near future!

When a powerful storm knocks Fly Creek, Georgia's power lines down onto wet soil, the resulting surge of electricity drives large, bloodthirsty worms to the surface and out of their soil-tilling minds. The townspeople soon discover that their sleepy fishing village is overrun with worms that burrow right into their skin. Inundated by hundreds of thousands of carnivorous creatures, the terrorized locals race to find the cause of the rampage before becoming tilled under themselves.

Directed by Jeff Lieberman, SQUIRM stars Don Scardino, Patricia Pearcy, R.A. Dow, and Jean Sullivan.
