Spoilers: Details on one of Wolverine’s missions in X-Men: Days of Future past

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has some excellent new photos from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, but it also contains some quotes from the cast and crew on the film, including a hint at what Wolverine will be doing in the 1970s.

One of the images from the issue is of Beast (Nicholas Hoult) angrily trying to drown Magneto (Michael Fassbender), a scene that was also shown in the first trailer. In the new issue of EW, Hoult says, "There's bad blood because of everything Erik's done to Charles. Obviously Hank is on Charles' side completely."

Director Bryan Singer talked about Xavier's snazzy new hover chair in the latest issue, and how it was one of the things he really liked in the comics.

"Xavier's chair is a hover chair. That's something I wanted to do from the comic that I hadn't seen yet."

Singer also talked about Peter Dinklage's Bolivar Trask and the character's philosophy.

"He's actually kind of a peace lover. He sees the advent of the mutants as a way to unite people. There's this moment where he basically explains when modern men came along, it meant extinction for the Neanderthal; now humans are the Neanderthal, so this fight is for our survival as a species."

Now, the next part isn't from Bryan Singer or any of the actors, but it is a spoiler for one of the missions Wolverine will have in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. It isn't a huge spoiler, however the details are still something a few of you might not want to know.

It's revealed that when Wolverine travels back in time, one of the first thing he and Professor X do is break Magneto out of jail. Central to Wolverine's mission is the need to stop Trask from creating the Sentinels and to stop Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique from doing something that Singer doesn't specify.

If Magneto is in jail at the beginning of the new movie, how did he end up there after the events from X-MEN: FIRST CLASS? It's not as if he was arrested or anything at the end of the last film. Any ideas?

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will be released on May 23rd, 2014.
