Keanu Reeves is going to need a bad guy to fight in order for the JOHN WICK sequel to take off and mean something. It’s a good thing Lionsgate has gone ahead and found a Common villain for him to square off with.
It’s Common.
You know… the hip hop artist/actor.
Yeah, he’s the guy.
Common is set to play a head of security for a female crime lord, who I would guess would slot in to be the big baddie for a third film, thus completing a full trilogy around the assassin not to be trifled with.
JOHN WICK 2 is set to go in front of cameras this week, making Common a bit of a late addition… but better late than never in securing your villain, so the film moves ahead with those key pieces – the hero, the villain, etc. – now in place.
