All Zords for the Power Rangers reboot finally revealed

11.15.2016

Honestly, POWER RANGERS was never my thing, even as a kid. It didn't help that you had to be in shape to even pretend to do martial arts. However, I don't know what it is, but this movie has got me excited as hell. Maybe it's just that the core idea of POWER RANGERS is still solid: mixing giant robot/monster fight with kung-fu superheroes will forever be an inherently cool idea.

Now it looks like we're getting our first glimpse at the rest of the Zords (after the reveal of the T-Rex Zord about a month ago), via more toy designs. Let's take a look:

You know what? I really enjoy these designs! As I said when they released the T-Rex Zord, I like that the new Zords feel streamlined and modern, while still retaining enough of the original to be recognizable. I understand if purists aren't as gung-ho about these redesigns, but I still say give it a chance. Especially since I'm sure a lot of detail is missing from these (honestly pretty cheap-looking) toys.

Either way, POWER RANGERS will morph into theaters March 24th, 2017

Oh, the modern design aesthetic!

Lets add more and more detail and useless lines! Ooo! And more detail and MORE useless lines!

Oops, we forgot to pay attention to the overall shape and now have a shiny blog.

The individual zords look... Okay enough, though I'm not sure why they have extra limbs on the Mastodon and Triceratops. The toy for the combined zords though, look like shiny alien shit.

Reminds me of Dinobots from Transformers Age of Extinction.
