20th Century Fox is throwing everything they can at the wall to get you to see MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES next week. They are rolling out every last attempt to get something viral in the hopes that it'll spark an interest in potential viewership and get their box office numbers up. And you can't really blame them for trying. Sometimes all it takes is out-hustling your competition to score a win.
That would explain why Aubrey Plaza and Adam DeVine have a new PSA, which gives you safety tips for your fireworks display this coming 4th of July. What does that have to do with MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES? Very little. I mean, I guess there is fireworks in the movie, so that checks off a box on the criteria… and there are irresponsible people in the movie, too, so that counts for something… and… oh, hell… Just watch this thing in all of its glory. Besides, it's not like you have anything better to do for the next minute than watch Aubrey Plaza tell you some stuff.
MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES opens in theaters on July 8.
