Awesome Art We've Found Around The Net: 12 Monkeys, Alien, Blade Runner, Wreck-It Ralph

Jun. 29, 2013by: Theodore Bond

Some cliche somewhere said that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' This has proven to be the case for me and especially when it comes to fan art. I have always sought out great fan art and have wanted to share it with as many people as possible. "Awesome Artwork We've Found Around The Net" is the outlet for that passion. In this column I will showcase the kick-ass artwork of some great artists, with the hopes that these artists get the attention they deserve. That's the aim, if you have any questions or comments, or even suggestions of art or other great artists, feel free to contact me any time at theodorebond@joblo.com.

My favourite is without doubt the Alien one, it's so atmospheric and really captures the essence of Alien. Tlaneted guy! There are some more Blade Runner fan art photos in the gallery on the Blade Runner sequel fan website - [link]

I dig em all... but...

I gotta give this one to Alien. They're all really impressive, but I'm blown away by the detail put into that... Right down to the Xenomorph hiding in the background.

The Wonder Woman pic stands out for me. It comes off as a still from a Pixar film; a prologue telling of WW's exploits in the 1940s before we catch up with her in the present day.

The Spider-Man pic looks like it could be from a Paul Dini-like series.

This is a perfect batch of fan art. I love them all, but my favorites were probably Alien and Wreck-It-Ralph.

Love the Alien one. There's so much detail in the background and the artist has done a brilliant job of capturing emotion and atmosphere. You get that this is one moment of respite for a woman who's just been thoroughly put through the wringer. Also, really gorgeous lighting with the main light source being the inside of the hibernation pod.
