Awesome Games Done Quick has begun to benefit The Prevent Cancer Foundation

An important event began yesterday, and I’m not talking about the Golden Globes. Games Done Quick is a bi-annual charity gaming marathon where volunteers play games at incredible speed (“Speedrunning” as it’s called) for your entertainment. The event is streamed live online, non-stop, and all donations go directly to the charity. The winter event, Awesome Games Done Quick, which began yesterday, will benefit The Prevent Cancer Foundation.

I’ve watched AGDQ (and the summer event, SGDQ) for years now, and it never fails to amaze. The amount of gaming talent amassed is most impressive, and the money raised each event inspiring. Despite only being on Day 2, they’ve raised over $169,000 thus far! If you get some free time, you can head HERE and check out some of the gaming action! If you feel so inclined, you can donate money for incentives, prizes, or just to help out those who need. Gotta go fast!

Awesome Games Done Quick runs from January 8th to January 15th.
