The first new episode of BBC’s Sherlock gets a title and it’s a bit of a spoiler! And what’s this about a fourth season?

Sherlock and Holmes

I’ve wanted new episodes of Sherlock for what seems like years now. You think your anticipation for Game of Thrones is high? That’s nothing compared to how badly I want to see Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock once again talking down to humanity like we’re a bunch of pesky insects.

The first episode is currently filming and executive producer Mark Gatiss sent out this tweet that might be a spoiler. If you haven’t seen the second season or if you don’t want to have any knowledge of the new season this is your chance to click on something else. You’ve been warned:

SPOILER!

So the first episode will be called “The Empty Hearse” which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how the second season ended. Like previous episodes, it is loosely connected to one of the Sherlock Holmes stories by author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. “The Empty Hearse” is probably referencing “The Adventure of the Empty House,” which is about Sherlock Holmes return after he was believed to be dead due to his final confrontation with Moriarty. The story also introduces the villain Sebastian Moran though there is no word on if the character will make an appearance in the show or not.

Benedict Cumberbatch also recently said that he has agreed to do a fourth season of Sherlock and he would love to return to the character for more adventures after that.

As I said I can’t wait to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman back as the crime solving duo and I’m going to be all over any news regarding Sherlock like TMZ on Lil Wayne so be on the lookout for more information as it comes in.
