Ben Stiller reveals Zoolander 2 details

While doing press for Noah Baumbach's GREENBERG, Ben Stiller sat down and spoke to MTV and dished a little on ZOOLANDER 2.

First off, Stiller confirmed that a sequel is indeed in the works: "Yes, it is true... we are in the process of getting a script written. It's in the early stages, but it's gonna happen. We've been trying for years to... figure it out. It'll have input from all the... 'Zoolander' people. It's just... taken awhile."

Stiller continued, giving a vague idea of what to expect from the continuation: "We have a new story idea that we feel excited about and we're going to try to go forward. The beginning of the movie is [set]... 10 years later, and Derek & Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody even knows who they are, so they have to re-invent themselves."

And finally, Stiller said that Will Ferrell's crazy pill-poppin' Mugatu would be returning, assuming Ferrell is up to it (I don't see why he not): "If Will says yes, he definitely has to be a part of it... to me, Mugatu is one of the classic screen villains of all time."

You can check out video of the interview segment below. Stiller's latest film GREENBERG opens in limited release on March 26th. Will Ferrell's got the Adam McKay comedy THE OTHER GUYS coming this August, as well as the animated MEGAMIND (which Stiller is a producer on) later this year.

Extra Tidbit: It's one thing to see a person with gray hair, but something else entirely to see them with gray facial hair. Stiller's starting to look like his pops.
