For the last four years running, a documentary has captured the audience award at Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Film Festival. That is, until Raymond De Felitta’s family dramedy CITY ISLAND won the award at this year’s festival, causing industry folk to stand up and take notice. The film stars Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, and Emily Mortimer as members of the historic seaport community City Island in the Bronx trying to figure their ish out. The poster aligns itself with other quirky family crowd pleasers JUNO and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE and has dysfunction written all over it. Emily Mortimer by the way, is totally crush-worthy.
