There are a bunch of potentially awesome movies hitting theaters this summer, however the one I want to see the most is definitely MAD MAX: FURY ROAD. I know for some Mad Max will always be Mel Gibson, but I have a feeling Tom Hardy is going to do just fine as Max, and I've been very impressed with the trailers for the film.

/Film has a first look at Vertigo's Mad Max: Fury Road: Inspired Artists, an upcoming art book for the film, as well as Mad Max: Fury Road: Nux & Immortan Joe #1, the first of four planned character centric prequel comics written by creator/director George Miller, Nico Lathouris and Mark Sexton.

Mad Max: Fury Road: Inspired Artists features art work inspired by the MAD MAX world from over 65 different artists and commentary from George Miller. The first comic will focus on Nicholas Hoult (Nux) and Hugh Keays-Byrne's (Immortan Joe) characters from MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, and Charlize Theron's character will star in the next one Furiosa #1, followed by a two-part prequel comic for Tom Hardy's Max.

Below you'll find front and back covers for Mad Max: Fury Road: Inspired Artists, the Mad Max: Fury Road: Nux & Immortan Joe #1 cover, and details on both books. The art book will be in stores on May 6, and the Nux and Immortan Joe prequel comic will go on sale on May 20.

Hope it's a nice little tie-in to the movie because as long as it took to get Fury Road made and I do think it will do well and be a phenomenal time at the movies, I'm not expecting a sequel in the very near future...
