Dane Dehaan thinks the script for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is "awesome"

I think if you combined the best parts of Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN and Marc Webb's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN you'd have the perfect Spidey film. I think both directors did a pretty decent job with the character but there are certainly some issues with both films. Webb is currently hard at work on the sequel (and very busy on his twitter account) and I have hope that he can deliver a complete Spider-Man movie now that the origins story is out of the way.
Dane DeHaan hasn't started filming as Harry Osborn (with the recently added Chris Cooper playing his father Norman Osborn) yet but should start soon and he sat down with Collider to talk about the film. He has read the script for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and it sounds like Dehaan is pretty impressed with it:
It’s awesome. It really is. It’s human and it’s deep and it’s also epic and still a huge superhero movie. But it all makes sense and it all comes from very human elements and I think people are really going to love it.
It's not like DeHaan was going to come out and trash the script if he didn't like it, but it gives me a little bit more confidence in the film. Dane DeHaan is a fantastic young actor and if Harry Osborn does end up going to the dark side (in this movie or the inevitable sequel) I can't think of anyone better to play him.
There are a ton of new characters that are going to be populating the screen and I hope Marc Webb knows how to juggle them all without falling on his face.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is currently filming in New York with a release date set for May 2, 2014.
| Extra Tidbit: | I loved CHRONICLE but the end is totally a rip off of AKIRA. When Matt keeps yelling Andrew's name over and over I kept (drunkenly) yelling at the screen, "His name is f*cking Tetsuo!" |

Well..what does he know?
I hope DeHaan and Cooper have the same great chemistry that Franco and Dafoe perfected in the original trilogy.

Tidbit : ya,the end of chronicle is ripoff of Akira and Inception is inspired from Paprika.Anime is grossly underrated.Hollywood copies a lot from Anime

As for Webb's first go around, I think it's safe to say that movie
As for Webb's first go around, I think it's safe to say that movie wouldn't be what it was if Raimi didn't lay the foundation. It wasn't exactly anything drastic from, let's say, Nolan's Batman Begins to Tim Burton's Batman. TAS felt like it was part of Raimi's world. Heck, even the promo pieces felt the same. Not that has to do too much with Webb.
Was Marc Webb's movie good. Absolutely, but to compare it to Raimi's, seems unfair. I agree. Splice em' together, we'd have Spidey-Film perfection. Now, if Webb can do a solid trilogy and keep the momentum going, then yes. Then we can say who reigned victorious there.
