Darren Aronofsky gets another project titled Machine Man

Darren Aronofsky has another gig.

The director has signed on to helm an adaptation of Max Berry’s online novel, MACHINE MAN. This is not to be confused with Marvel’s Machine Man.

Well, what about Wolverine 2? Deadline does not specify a start date for MACHINE MAN. They do state that filming for Wolvie will start next year in New York then move on to Japan. It’s likely that MACHINE MAN will shoot after Wolverine.

Berry delivered each page of the novel one day at a time. If you want to read it for yourself or check out his other works, head on over here. The novel in full is due out Spring 2011.

MACHINE MAN centers on, “Charlie is a gadget geek and engineer at a forward-thinking tech firm, and he decides to systematically replace his weak fleshy parts with high-end titanium performance upgrades that he has designed. Turns out Charlie isn’t the only one with plans for his superior parts.”
