Ghostbusters biz plan

I'm the kind of asshole who sits in the back of a cinema and grumbles to myself that in ARMAGGEDDON, there's no way that drilling 800 feet into a... Ok, actually I can see where I'm gonna go with this so let's just cut to the chase. Overthinkingit has looked at how feasible the business plan would be for a group of people to launch an actual Ghostbusters organization.

I don't want to spoil the thing, but let's just say it would not be the soundest financial investment ever made. Click on the graph BELOW to check out all of the details.

There is an actual scene in the movie where they complain about being completely broke pretty much immediately after opening up shop.

Okay, I didn't exactly give this the full read that I would have if investing, but I think the problem here is a lack of revenue, not the high costs that Overthinkingit describes. If you actually captured ghosts as they did in the movie, you would have potentially charged enough to make some serious profit and paid off the loan early, thus not accruing the interest described. This is why fiction should stay fiction. You can't analyze an unknown like how many ghosts do you expect to catch a
