Hugh Jackman decides not to sell make-up, would rather spend more time as Wolverine

About a month ago, Hugh Jackman jumped on-board for AVON MAN. It centered on former car salesman who reluctantly sells Avon products to support his family. The job at first is emasculating, but later the saleman uses his charms in order to become top-seller. It’s getting the “FULL MONTY style” label since the salesman rounds up his overly macho buddies to win a regional Avon sales contest. Will these men be stripping to sale products? I’m not sure.

Well, Jackman has decided to pass on the opportunity to play an Avon salesman. He’s still linked to the project because he is a producer on it. Kevin Lima (ENCHANTED) is set to direct.

So what will he do in the meantime? Well, he’ll do what he does best– get back into the adamantium claws as Wolverine to prepare for the follow-up to WOLVERINE: ORIGINS. Jackman will use his time pumping up to get back into shape. This means that Fox will get the film ready for production next year. For REAL STEEL, the actor had to gain 30 pounds to play a washed-up boxer.

I really hope they take their time with Logan’s samurai adventures in Japan. As we all know, Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS) is adapting the 1982 Chris Claremont/Frank Miller comic miniseries. The story is spectacular and here’s hoping that someone does it some justice.
