Iron Man footage soon?

Jon Favreau seems to be handling directing duties for IRON MAN incredibly well, but he’s also manged to be a friendly and reliable ambassador for the whole project, keeping fans up to date via his Myspace blog (try Facebook Jon, it’s way chiller). He’s recently addressed the issue of the Comic-Con footage, which was inevitably leaked online in typically grainy fashion, and whether or not we’ll be seeing a better-quality version any time soon. Here’s what Favreau had to say:

“I hear you all loud and clear. You want to see the footage that we brought to SDCC. Why not post it in HD instead of having everyone download a grainy bootleg? I agree. I am trying to get a version out to you ASAP. This is a big movie, however, and it takes time to get the proper approvals from all parties involved.

I am happy to report that both Marvel and Paramount have agreed to get a version of the footage out to you very soon. I will report the specifics when I get them. Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.”

This guy obviously gets it. He understands that when you’re handling a property that is so dear to so many people, you need to be in touch, to assure them that all is well. And Favreau is doing just that. We should be seeing this footage in HD quality soon enough.
