Undergoing a traumatic reconstruction via Mother Box and being transformed into Cyborg would leave anyone feeling a bit out of sorts, so it's only natural that you would hold a little resentment towards the one who put you through the ordeal, and in the case of Cyborg/Victor Stone (Ray Fisher), that would be his father, Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton). Some time has passed since Victor Stone was first transformed, but living as Cyborg in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE hasn't gotten any easier, and Joe Morton told CBM that Victor Stone still holds a good deal of resentment towards his father.

Yeah, some of that still exists in the film where Victor sort of feels like, ’yes you saved my life, but look what you made me look like. I can’t go out and be a regular person.’ He has no alias, nothing to hide behind. So what I think is great about that idea is you begin, in a metaphoric way, sort of talking about what it means to be “the other” in society. Even if you have something tremendous to contribute to society, the first thing that most social situations will do is ostracize you because you look different because they don’t know who or what you are. So I think that’s a big deal in this film for that character, and for Silas, and makes for interesting film making.

With all the lengthy reshoots which JUSTICE LEAGUE has undergone at the hands of Joss Whedon, it will be interesting to see how much of Victor and Silas' relationship, or lack thereof, has survived. We haven't seen quite as much of Cyborg as the other members of JUSTICE LEAGUE in the marketing for the film, but as the character is predominately CG, I'm not surprised. Joe Morton mentioned last week that he believed some of the reshoots have served to make some adjustments to the tone of Cyborg, saying he heard that the studio felt the film was too dark and wanted to lighten the character up. We may be seeing Joe Morton reprise his role as Dr. Silas Stone in CYBORG as part of his three-picture deal with Warner Bros. which includes BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and JUSTICE LEAGUE. Morton believes that CYBORG is still happening, saying that "it should start sometime around 2020."

JUSTICE LEAGUE is set for a November 17, 2017 release.
