Thanks to the last suck-tacular Spidey flick under-performing both critically and financially, we now have a CIVIL WAR to look forward to that includes your neighborhood-friendly Spider-Man. If that wasn't enough, Sony and Marvel Studios' deal means that even more Marvel characters can cross over into the Spidey-verse. Marvel uber-producer Kevin Feige said as much when speaking to Entertainment Weekly regarding the solo flick.

Kevin Feige on Marvel Studios' characters in Spider-Man films:

He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth.

While it was almost a given that the characters would cross over, it's always nice to get confirmation from the man himself. The question now is which characters will do so, and how soon? Something tells me that they'll want to focus mostly on Spider-Man characters for his first outing, but I imagine a few references will be made to CIVIL WAR. In any case, it should be exciting to finally have Marvel proper in on the ground floor when it comes to a SPIDER-MAN flick!

SPIDER-MAN will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

Which Marvel Studios characters would you like to see in a Spider-Man film?
