Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas leads the 2015 Razzies

While most people were focused on last night's 87th Academy Awards (you can check out the winners here), this weekend also saw the return of another awards ceremony: The Razzies. The Golden Raspberry Awards have been "celebrating" the worst in cinema since the 1980s and while they're not always right, it's hard to argue with the bulk of their winners. If you had the displeasure of seeing Kirk Cameron's SAVING CHRISTMAS, then I'm sorry. Also, that's the film the lead the pack in term of Razzies, but you can check out the full list below.

Worst Picture

Worst Director

Worst Actor

Worst Supporting Actor

  • Kelsey Grammer (for EXPENDABLES 3, LEGENDS OF OZ, THINK LIKE A MAN TOO, and TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION)

Worst Actress

Worst Supporting Actress

  • Megan Fox (for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES)

Worst Screenplay

Worst Remake, Sequel, or Rip-off

  • ANNIE

Worst Screen Combo

Redeemer Award

  • Ben Affleck: From Razzie Winner for GIGLI to Oscar darling for ARGO and GONE GIRL

So how do you all feel about that list? Is Kelsey Grammer really deserving of Worst Supporting Actor? That aside, there's no arguing with Saving Christmas and its healthy lead. I haven't see the movie myself, but the trailer is enough to melt your face off, RAIDERS-style. It is good to see Ben Affleck score the redeemer award as well, given his projects have increased exponentially in quality since he's started directing. I only hope that has carried over to BATMAN V SUPERMAN as well!

I figured a Kirk Cameron movie...

is in the same boat as bad direct to DVD, or Syfy Channel dross. Of course it's bad, and so maybe it shouldn't be a contender.

And poor Megan. Why pick on her? She performs her duties in Turtles successfully. She makes confusing feelings in its 10 year old boy audience. Can't hate her for that.

That still of Kirk Cameron for that trailer is the most punchable face I've ever seen.

So does Grammar win the award for his acting or just being in those movies? Cause he was probably the highlight of Ex3 and T4.

I see why it won

The trailer alone sold me on why SAVING CHRISTMAS won the Razzie this year - and also why it's the new winner of the Worst 100 on IMDb. The "Kirk Cameron dressed as Santa Claus" image was enough to scar me for life.

I'm not totally sold on Saving Christmas being as bad as everyone makes it out to be. That being said the only one I'm a little disapointed with was Annie. Haven't seen it yet but I'm holding out hope it'll at least be watchable. Plus I would have really liked Atlas Shrugged Part III to have won.

I'm sure Kirk Cameron has decided to wear the awards a a badge of honor. Proof ( to him, at least) that Hollywood is a heathen, Christian hating den of vipers...or however he will spin it...I'm sure he'll be making an appearance on Fox News sometime this week to expound. War on Christmas, don't cha know.

I would if I was him. And that description you gave of Hollywood is spot on, whether you yourself believe it or not.

I'm dissapointed.

Unlike other underseen Worst Picture winners (LOVE GURU, DIRTY LOVE, etc.), it's a fact that most voters didn't see SAVING CHRISTMAS because of its extremely limited release and the fact that it's not available to rent buy anywhere. I get that the priority is to make the awards funny, but can't it also be a serious recognition of the worst in cinema?

By the way, if BOYHOOD and TRANSFORMERS 4 had won, it would've been the 1st time in a long time (or maybe ever?) where the Best and Worst

By the way, if BOYHOOD and TRANSFORMERS 4 had won, it would've been the 1st time in a long time (or maybe ever?) where the Best and Worst Picture winners had the same running time. I actually thought the latter had a good shot at winning because it won the Golden Schmoe and the Youreviewer Award for Stinkpile of the Year.
