Liz and Michael get into trouble in seven new Date Night clips

04.05.2010

I’m not exactly sure why it was Fox’s idea and not Universal’s to combine the two leads from NBC’s most popular comedies into one movie. DATE NIGHT features Liz Lemon and Michael Scott out on the town, and accidentally find themselves posing as much more exciting people (James Franco and Mila Kunis) in order to get a table at a restaurant.

We’ve just uploaded seven new clips from the film for your viewing pleasure, which feature all manner of absurdity from the film. I’m a huge fan of both Fey and Carell, but I’m still not quite sold on the movie itself yet.

I’m guessing it’s better as a whole than just chopped up into little pieces. But if those pieces are what it takes for you to get a taste for the thing check them out below, and head over to the JoBlo video section to see all of them.

Extra Tidbit: I finally am at the point where I can admit 30 Rock is funnier than The Office.

Don't watch The Office or 30Rock,they just don't play well outside the states. So really don't care for this movie with a running time under 90min i wonder what we haven't seen outside the trailers.

I didn't watch the clips. I never do. A bit old fashioned. I already find trailers show too much.

30 Rock is solid. I don't like a lot of the supporting cast but Alec Baldwin is incredible on it and I enjoy Tina Fey. The Office on the other hand can do no wrong at this point. What an amazing show. Yeah, I'm looking forward to Date Night.

Office on a weak episode is better than any episode of 30 Rock, just my 2 cents.

Dwight Schrute > Tracey Jordan

So many sides... well, 2

I'm a HUGE The Office fan. Funniest current running show on TV. 30 Rock... just can't get into. Maybe it's cause I HATE Tracy Morgan, and never found Tina Fey funny?

This flick just doesn't appeal to me. I love... LOOOOOVE Mila Kunis (love), but... eh, just no interest I guess.

The movie itself could be funny, given the huge supporting cast and the two leads of course. As for the shows, I always thought 30 Rock was a good show trying to be the next Arrested Development with it's fast paced, random humor but it will never even come close to Arrested Development.

The Office just desperately needs to end, seasons 2 & 3 were consistently great and 4 had some great writing but it's running into the ground at this point.

Sometimes a show getting canceled is a blessing in disguise or knowing when to quit (The Wire, Six Feet Under) always works too.

I never got the point of releasing billions of clips before a movie it actually out. Why would I pay to see a film when Ive seen half of it already ? And chances are that all the best part have been spoiled. Thats why I never watch these type of clips.

Wow...

The office has NEVER seemed funny to me, whereas 30 Rock is always f***ing hilarious.

And what's with implying that the characters of Liz Lemon and Michael Scott are in the movie? Either use the actors names or the movie characters names....the way this was written was just damned confusing :(

Either way, and despite loving Tina Fey's work, I can't get excited about this. Maybe I'll catch it on DVR...then again, I said that about Baby Mama and haven't seen it either.

30 Rock has never had a bad season whereas this new season of The Office is severely lacking in laughs. Sometimes The Office is just too damn awkward to be funny and sometimes they try to have their dramatic moments, most of which are hit or miss.

I am completely underwhelmed by everything I've seen of this movie which is a shame because Carell and Fey are like the king and queen of NBC comedy.

Extra Tidbit

I don't agree with the extra tidbit at all. I am a huge fan of both shows, but I still think The Office is way funnier than 30 Rock. Again, both shows are very funny, the best on television, but The Office has me laughing more.
