The threat is real my friends, the threat is real. The latest critically dismembered entry into the TRANSFORMERS series went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide. Not only is that stupid, it's why we’re getting more of them. TRANSFORMERS 5 was inevitable, we know that, but news today comes from the franchise's new star Mark Wahlberg who states that he's committed to more movies in the series and thinks they will be on the set soon.

Speaking with MTV, Wahlberg said:

I committed to doing a couple more.  I can’t speak for Mr. Bay but something tells me we’ll be on the set soon.

How many is "a couple more"? Are we talking a three-picture deal son? What’s really worth wondering at this point however is if the franchises director, Michael Bay, will return to helm anymore installments. While he hasn’t committed himself to returning like Marky has, you can be sure that Paramount will do anything they can to get him back; a dumpster full of money should do it. The last we heard from Bay he was set to direct 13 HOURS, a movie about the embassy attack in Benghazi. We will keep you posted!

Would you like to see Bay back for TRANSFORMERS 5?  Who could replace him?
