Visually interesting, but again, it's Tim Burton. For me, the last nail in the coffin for him was Planet of the Apes.



I'll probably rent it.

It's a Tim Burton movie. It'll look exactly like every other Tim Burton movie. And Tim Burton movies are looking pretty stale these days. Probably because he pretty much just keeps making the same movie over and over and over again, with different titles. Wake me when he develops artistic range.

I love when they team up. honestly to best describe burton just think story book, fairy tails that is what the man does best.

everyone hating on the depp madhatter but come on guys, they have to sell the movie according to one big star and really who else could they sell the movie on? I mean when was the last time you were lke we should go see the next bohnem carter movie, or hey crispin glover's new movie is coming out. I think we will eventually get a trailer thats beyond the madhatter but for now the studio knows thats the only real big name they can sell. As for playing a different character in this movie i got ask really how else could he play it but weird? I mean he's called the mad hatter what do you want a taxi driver performance, a more subtle weird because lets face it if your mad you are mad. You're insane, and off the bloody walls, I mean tha's what i love about the orginal disney version was that those two at the tea party were mad. All Depp is doing is bringing us what we expect from the mad hatter. and as far as him playing odd quirky characters i respect him for it i mean he may be able to play leading men but those c haracters are often the most uninteresting. He says he loves characters that are off. he hates the idea of taking a lead role that is just a man learning a lesson and honestly there are very few movies where he has top billing and is actually the character that experiences change. He needs deeply disturbed characters and i respect him for that i mean leave the roles of leading men to people like pitt and clooney men who can play a smile and a wave and get paid for it. not to say they are not great actors i mean 1 monkeys, and michael clayton are great examples of thee men acting but they are leading men and leading men are never really that interesting of a character you love the characters who teach the lesson rather than learn it.

But i digress

I really want to see this movie

It looks eh, i was waiting to hear the "Lets Boogie" at the beginning of the trailer like Willy Wonkas trailer since its the same character...again, but i DO love how its an unofficial sequel, different story, continuous if you will. That is what is intriguing me

I like the trailer, looks great! But I hate the fact that things are thrown into the camera 4 times, and a cane/sword is pointed into the camera twice! This movie will probably be great in 3d, but be really annoying watching it in 2d.

Scissor hands, Chocolate factory (just to name a few)and now this. Looks like he is playing the same character over and over again...
