New Clover Spot

02.02.2008

I know that the film has been playing over in the States for a little while already, but over here the thing only just opened yesterday (saw it, thought it was stupendous, that chick who plays Lily is smoking hot). As such I've been running through a god damn spoiler gauntlet the last two weeks, but I'm proud to say that I made it unscathed. I also strongly believe that if I had seen the monster before I went into the cinema I wouldn't have enjoyed the film as much, and so, on my weekend, as I eat breakfast, I want to send out a SPOILER warning to people about the brand new clip released. Because damn it I care about you people. For those of us who've seen it, it's the first time we get to see Voltron and it's cool to relive it, but for those of you who haven't, you want to steer clear, believe me. Anyway, HERE's the clip!

Oh god, I spoiled it didn't I? I said Voltron...
Extra Tidbit: You can thank Jeremy Wein for brining this to my attention!

Cloverfield was cool and unique. I look forward to the dvd. Like Bubba, I also don't see the big deal about showing the monster briefly after it's been out for three weeks. Like he said, the monster is not the key to the film's success. Although I dug the look of it.

and here I am to think that you call yourselves 'movie' fans. C'mon..a real movie freak would absorb the art and freshness of an idea or concept..but well to each his/her own. For those who just can't understand the whole concept, then u people must be the ones who get off on shit like Meet The Spartans.

Lily? Hot? Really?

Lilly seemed more like an uptight bitch to me. The real hot one was the chick they were looking for the whole time. And that chick that the annoying camera guy liked was the biggest weirdo anti-social creep ever. Fuck her.

Dug it - don't get the spoiler

I don't get why the look of the monster if that big a deal. If anything, to me, knowing it was a monster is the only real spoiler there is. It's a monster - who cares what it looks like, really. I thought the first trailer was cool because you have no idea what happened. If I'd seen the movie not knowing it was a monster, I probably would have been sucked in a lot more - especially the way the film made groundbreaking (IMO) use of 9/11 imagery.

To me, this is one of the best horror-type

To me, this is one of the best horror-type movies I've seen in a very, very long time. Not because, OMG THE MONSTER LOOKED SOOO KEWL, because frankly... whatever. I thought just the way it was shot, the energy, and the overall mood was horror-minded action at its best.

The way the monster looks has no contingency on why people dig this movie. You look at the boards, most people who loved the flick cared less about how it looked. I don't get why people act like it's some big spoiler. It isn't like the show it to you in the last minutes of the movie - it gets shown pretty much right off the bat.

Just my thought. I really dug the film, and am bemused by so many people who haven't seen it slagging on it because they've seen the monster and "that was lame, yo"

Cloverfield sucked! I expected to see something as good as Citizen Kane, something that would change the entire history of film hereafter, and all we got was a monster movie!

(Yes, that was sarcasm).

i loved the movie the red banner is just for the article.

well i liked it so vini can fuck himself. i actually thought it was one of the best movies released in a long while. but that trailer shouldn't have given it away. and jj abrams is making cinema cool again. i liked going into a movie knowing nothing and nobody in it. it was great experience intrestingly shot and didn't go for a plain shitty ass ending. i liked the monster too.

Nice ad

Glad I didn't see it before the movie as I'm with you, it was much more fun to see it unfold on the big screen.

As for the people who didn't enjoy the film, I don't anyone cares. In my opinion, the only thing that could've made this film any better was to have godzilla fighting that damn thing as well, from the civilian camcorder perspective would be pretty damn sweet.

NOT THE BEST DAMN THING...

Aah c'mon guys...give the flick a break. It was fun, a pop-corn movie at most...I enjoyed it while it lasted. The monster wasn't the best damn thing out there, I'd still vote for Godzilla, and Cloverfield was just a way for the studio to bank on a whole slew of sequels...but it was fun nonetheless....

cloverfuckoff

If Cloverfield didn't have J.J. Abrams or Bad Robot all over it, no one would give a flying fuck about this movie.

It's fucking stupid

I saw the stupid fucking monster before I went to the movies, it was fucking stupid when I saw it at home and looked even more fucking stupid on big screen. Looks like a fat crooked oversized snail, I don't give a shit. This movie sucked and made me bored and dizzy.

Fuck Cloverfield and those who liked Cloverfield.
