We've got a new image from DIVERGENT and the first one from Clint Eastwood's adaptation of JERSEY BOYS.

First up is a movie you've already been hearing much about: DIVERGENT. Here we see Shailene Woodley looking skeptically at Theo James. I've been told that this scene in particular might be a pivotal one from the book of the same name by Veronica Roth. Is this one on your must see list for 2014?

In a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.

DIVERGENT hits theaters on March 21, 2014.

The second still is the first from JERSEY BOYS the musical adaptation from director Clint Eastwood. Here we get a good look at John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen, Vincent Piazza, and Michael Lomenda as Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. It will be interesting to see Eastwood take on a film like this one which is one part bio, one part musical.

Clint Eastwood’s big screen version of the Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of the four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic `60s rock group The Four Seasons. Their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the hit songs that influenced a generation, and are now being embraced by a new generation of fans through the stage musical.

JERSEY BOYS hits theaters on June 20, 2014.

I'll be honest, I'm excited for an Eastwood musical in the hope that it might offer a more colorful palette than he's employed in his last few films. Not saying his aesthetic hasn't worked well before, but sometimes it can feel a little oppressive.

Interesting that Eastwood has chosen to have smaller names star in Jersey Boys. I hope it turns out well, the musical was good but I just don't have a particular attachment to that period of music so I couldn't get into it. I wonder who they cast as Joe Pesci and I hope Joe Pesci himself gets to cameo.
