Noah Oppenheim will adapt George Orwell’s 1984

I know that several of you have read George Orwell’s 1984, but did you know that they were bringing it to the big screen?

Imagine Entertainment is bringing the novel to life, and has asked Noah Oppenheim to adapt. The scribe is doing a few up and coming projects like THE SECRET LIFE OF HOUDINI with Gary Ross set to direct, and remakes of WARGAMES and SNABBA CASH.

For those who haven’t read the novel, it is a, “cautionary tale about a totalitarian future society, and a man whose job it is to rewrite history tries a bit of rebellion by falling in love, a move that runs afoul of Big Brother.”

I’m hoping for the best here. We don’t know how great of a scribe that Oppenheim is, and on top of that we have no director.

Big Brother is watching you…
