Pixar goes Up

I’m convinced Pixar is run by androids. How else can you explain their inhuman consistency? Humans make mistakes, right? They falter. Well Pixar doesn’t. WALL-E (which some say is their best yet) is months away from theatres, and they’re already psyching us up for next summer’s masterpiece, called UP. Below is what seems to be the first shot from the film, or a just some digitally rendered artwork. The film comes from Bob Peterson and Peter Doctor, the directing team behind MONSTERS INC. Straight from Disney, here’s the film’s synopsis:

Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Ed Asner) spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. Up takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer – look Up. Christopher Plummer voices the villian. Up will be released in Disney Digital 3-D™.
