Sandler off to Bedtime

Adam Sandler has signed on to star in his first Disney film BEDTIME STORIES for director Adam Shankman (HAIRSPRAY). The film would star Sandler as a harried architect (CLICK?) whose life gets turned upside down when the bedtime stories he tells his kids come to life (LADY IN THE WATER? JUMANJI?). Disney bought the script back in February and attached Shankman with the hopes of turning it into either a summer or holiday tentpole. They’ve opted for the latter and have pencilled in a holiday 2008 release. The script will likely be tweaked to fit Sandler (in all fairness to the guy, I’ve heard they’ve already switched his occupation because of the CLICK similarities) with filming set to begin this fall. Sandler has I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY this summer and will begin filming on YOU DON’T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN shortly thereafter.
