Sarsgaard is an Animal

Peter Sarsgaard (JARHEAD) and Dennis Hopper (TRUE ROMANCE) are joining Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz in the movie DYING ANIMAL. Isabel Coixet (THE SECRET LIFE OF WORDS) is to direct the film about a sophisticated graduate student (Cruz) who gets tangled up in an erotic affair with her professor (Kingsley), a cultural critic that is obsessed with the human form. Several years after the student is heartbroken by the end of their relationship, she returns with a shocking revelation that changes her life.

The movie is based on a book by Philip Roth, who wrote THE HUMAN STAIN, which is – surprisingly – about an affair between a professor and a young woman which unveils a shocking revelation. Similar? Who cares, sophisticated broads are attractive by default, and Penelope Cruz is all kinds of hot.
