Sketch comedy movie with Jackman, Butler, Banks, Winslet and many more | Movie News

We don't see too many sketch-style comedy features in the vein of KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE or AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON anymore, but there's one in the works with some top-tier talent.

It's unknown what will be the underlying "story" that will string together the sketches of this untitled comedy (which, conceivably, could end up being called UNTITLED COMEDY), but several filmmakers have already completed their segments. Directors who have comic chunks in the can so far are Peter Farrelly, Brett Ratner, Elizabeth Banks, Bob Odenkirk and Griffin Dunne.

Cast already includes Banks, Gerard Butler, Kieran Culkin, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, Liev Schreiber, Sean William Scott, Tony Shalhoub, Emma Stone, Matt Walsh, Patrick Warburton, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet. Expect more and more famous faces and funny folks to get involved, as the project is getting cobbled together as schedules permit (the movie continues shooting through May).

Producer Charles Wessler said "We all sat down and came up with what we think is a hilarious through-line for the movie. Given the amount of pot I had smoked, at least I think it is hilarious."

Extra Tidbit: I like a good stoner comedy, but I hope the leaf won't be mandatory for enjoyment. Unless weed is the new 3D.
