The trailer for the upcoming seventh series of Doctor Who features Daleks, dinosaurs, cyborgs, and bowties

I came late to the DOCTOR WHO bandwagon. I stayed away and only caught glimpses of the Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant seasons. It was not until the current Doctor came on board that I became a full-fledged fan. Matt Smith brings a whimsical personality to the role that makes the Doctor one of the most interesting characters on television.

I am sure I will get some hateful comments for saying this, but DOCTOR WHO fulfills all of the promises of genre television that I never got from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. I just never thought BUFFY was all that great. The new DOCTOR WHO shares a lot in common with BUFFY: both tackle genre stories with wit and humor, both feature a young and hip cast, and both have special effects that vary from great to incredibly hokey.
