Harry Potter author JK Rowling teases fans with a Fantastic Beasts 2 script

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

I love how it doesn't take much to get fans of the Harry Potter series all a flutter with excitement the moment that something, anything regarding the mega-popular-and-for-a-damn-good-reason franchise is mentioned. You could be having the worst day ever, but the moment you hear of news related to the wizarding world of Harry Potter, there's instantly a reason to bust out that wand replica you purchased online and let your muggle flag fly!

While we're on the topic of cool Harry Potter-related shenanigans, author JK Rowling worked her magic over on Potterheads today by posting a photo of the script she's working on for the planned sequel to FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. Along with the photo, the storied creator of one of literature's most beloved magical worlds simply stated the words, "Having a Beastly day …" Arg! That's it? No details? No working title? Bah! Okay, calm down, man. It's going to be alright. All good things come to those who wait or something like that.

So far, what we do know is that FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM 2 (that's not the film's official title, at least not yet) will see the return of director David Yates, as well as stars Johnny Depp, Zoe Kravitz, and Ezra Miller. As of this time, the movie is scheduled to apparate its way into theaters on November 16, 2018.

While we're anxiously awaiting more details about this Potterverse spin-off sequel, fans can look forward to conjuring up the first film in the series which is scheduled for a Digital, DVD, and Blu-Ray release on March 28, 2017.
