At frist look I totally skipped this news, after checking it out for a second time, I’m kind of intrigued.
Andrew Jarecki is set to direct the film ALL GOOD THINGS. Accoroding to Variety, the synopsis reads: Set in the 1980s, story centers on the scion of a New York real estate dynasty who falls for a beautiful girl from the wrong side of the tracks. But the fairy tale ends when the girl disappears. As a down-and-out detective stumbles on info that may lead to the truth, the political stakes get higher and people close to the case end up dead.
Sounds vaguely along the lines of THE BLACK DAHLIA and ZODIAC. And I’m definately a fan of the crime/murder mystery flicks like those.
Variety also reports that Ryan Gosling (above) has already signed on to star as the young real estate heir with Kirsten Dunst (below) in talks to star as the lead female. No telling on who will play the detective yet, but in my opinion that’s what will make or break this one.
Ryan Gosling is all kinds of good, while Kirsten Dunst (below) … not so much. SPIDER-MAN 3 just ruined everything Dunst for me. Who knows though, maybe if she does a good job in this one I’ll have a change of heart. The picture below is definately a good start.
As I mentioned, the flick will be directed by Andrew Jarecki. It was written by Jarecki, Marcus Hinchey, and Marc Smerling. The flick is produced by Jarecki, Smerling, and Michael London.
