Len Wiseman’s UNDERWORLD was a film that needed to grow on me, and the most I watch it, the more I slowly appreciate it. This cannot be said about it’s subsequent, which was awful on levels that I can’t begin to explain.
We all know that UNDERWORLD 3 is coming, and it’s a prequel tracing the origins of the feud between vampires and lycans, starring Rhona Mitra (above and below) and Michael Sheen. It was speculated that Bill Nighy would return as Viktor, and today the word has been announced that not only will Nighy reprise his role, but Shane Brolly, who played Kraven in the first film, will as well.
Len Wiseman will be stepping down from the directors chair, and production designer/sfx man Patrick Tatopoulus will be helming the film. Shooting begins in January in Auckland, New Zealand.
