Nearly one month ago I told you all about the first teaser for the sci-fi thriller BABYLON A.D., starring Vin Diesel.
Well Allocine have just thrown up the second teaser for the flick, check that out over here.
BABYLON A.D. is shaping up to be one badass flick. I haven’t seen any flaws thus far… but it’s still early. But you’ve gotta admit, it’s good to see Vinny boy jumping back into badass mode. I give the guy credit for branching out and trying all the different stuff, but it’s obvious he’s best at playing that cool badass you want to be friends with. I dug him in flicks like FAST AND THE FURIOUS and A MAN APART and of course there’s Riddick, who’s actually one of my favorite movie badasses.
So needless to say I’m stoked to see Diesel returning to the game. BABYLON A.D. follows a mercenary who’s hired to deliver a package i.e. a young dame who has an organism within her that a Cult wants in the name of creating a genetic Messiah.
Perfect, I see Vin kicking all kinds of ass in that one. Hell, he’s playing a mercenary!
The flick is directed by Mathieu Kassovitz with a script by Kassovitz and Joseph Simas, based off the book by Maurice G. Dantec. Along with Diesel, the cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Mélanie Thierry (below), Gérard Depardieu, Charlotte Rampling, Lambert Wilson, and Mark Strong. It hits theaters everywhere on August 29.
