We've made it to the tail-end of December, folks, and you know what that means, don't you? It's time for many to share lists of their favorite films, television shows, video games, and albums of the year! While I'm still compiling my own picks, former President Barack Obama has revealed a list of his favorite films and television series of 2020. As it happens, the former President and I have a lot in common when it comes to our preference for entertainment on screens both big and small. With that in mind, Mr. Obama, if you're interested in organizing a socially-distanced movie night, it would be my honor.

When it comes to TV shows, some of Obama's favorites include the following: The Queen's GambitMrs. America, Better Call Saul, The Good Lord Bird, Devs, the Michael Jordan documentary series The Last Dance, and, believe it or not, Amazon's The Boys. That's right, my friends. Even Obama enjoys a bit of comic book ultra-violence.

As far as feature films are concerned, Obama's top choices include Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Mank, Lovers Rock, Pixar's Soul, Nomadland, Beanpole, Crip Camp, and more!

“Like everyone else, we were stuck inside a lot this year,” Obama wrote in his tweet, “and with streaming further blurring the lines between theatrical movies and television features, I’ve expanded the list to include visual storytelling that I’ve enjoyed this year, regardless of format.”
